Nadine Hughes is a food expert, caterer, award-winning author and TV personality. Dinner at Home Meals are homemade, frozen, take-home meals. Targeting busy families that lack sufficient time and energy to devote to healthy and hearty nightly meals, Dinner at Home Meals offer nutritious options. The product range covers four groups: All-Day Snacks, Servings to Share, Soups, Stews & Chilies and Sides. Over thirty delicious prepared-food products cover the full menu offering.

The challenge: Develop a unique labeling system that is distinct, attractive and adaptable while upselling the Nadine Hughes brand. With so many products, the labeling system must be flexible and work within the production budget.

The solution: Develop distinct 'master' labels, branded with a special colour palette and unique icon to distinguish each product range. A small, one-colour, ingredients/preparation label was designed to stick to the master label — thus, all the items in a single product range remain consistent. Servings to Share, for example, includes over 17 different menu items in its product range — thus, 17 individual black-&-white labels applied to one master label.

The result is a strong marketing presence for the Nadine Hughes brand where Dinner at Home Meals are distributed. There is consistency in design among all the menu items, and standardized treatment of all labels.

The Dinner at Home Meals identity is bright, customer-friendly, adaptable and positions the Nadine Hughes brand for growth and wider distribution.

My personal Dinner at Home Meals recommendation: the Banana Chocolate Chip bread! It's awesome — the perfect combination of sweet chocolate and fresh banana. Perfect with tea.
